Features and Enhancements
Control Processor Front Panel Lock
The physical front panel buttons on the control processor can now be locked so they cannot be operated directly at the unit. This is handled at the middleware level, so it is only available when the control processor runs on a supported middleware. Controllers not running on middleware cannot have their front panel locked.
Audio-over-IP Transceiver Support
A single audio-over-IP transceiver device can now act as both an AV source and a separate auxiliary audio destination over one connection. Integrators can select which stream the device transmits and which it receives, and control master volume and mute, using the same source and destination routing as other devices.
Drivers
Driver Updates & Enrichments
Crestron DMPS Devices (TCP)
Resolved an issue where rooms using Crestron DMPS middleware could gradually go offline and require a middleware reboot to recover. Connections from the DMPS devices are now released immediately on reconnect or room redeployment, so the middleware no longer runs out of available connections.
QSC Q-SYS QRC DSP (TCP)
Added the ability to recall Q-SYS snapshots from a macro, allowing saved DSP states to be loaded as part of room automation.
Avocor AVF LCD (ComPort Over TCP, Telnet)
This display only supports a single video freeze toggle rather than explicit freeze on and freeze off commands. Space CE now tracks the current freeze state so that repeated freeze on or freeze off requests no longer flip the display into the wrong state, keeping the freeze state consistent across all freeze controls.
Panasonic RQ/RS/RZ Series Projector (TCP, ComPort Over TCP)
Lamp hours are now reported correctly on single-lamp projector models, where previously only dual-lamp models reported them.
Qbic Touch Panel (HTTP)
Qbic touch panels are now identified with the correct manufacturer, previously QBIC and now Qbic.
New Driver Additions
- Dell LCD (ComPort Over TCP)
- AMX SVSI NMX-ATC-N4321 Audio Transceiver (TCP)
- LG TR Series LCD (TCP)
- Extron SW USB Switcher (ComPort Over TCP)
Bug Fixes
- The on/off indicator for a display’s secondary input now updates correctly on the touch panel even when no secondary input timeout is configured, where it could previously stay stale.
- Each pod now keeps its own room mode after a Space CE restart, instead of reverting to its default mode.
- When a pod powers on or switches into group mode, its default audio volume and mute setting are now applied correctly, where they could previously be silently lost.
- When a pod is powered on into group mode with Auto Share enabled, it now follows the lecturer’s shared source instead of reverting to its own local source.
- Microphone mute now works for channels whose device is defined only on the mute control. Previously, mute for these channels could fail silently with no effect.
- Middleware-controlled displays, such as the Panasonic projector, are once again controllable when the Crestron DMPS middleware takes over during failover, where they could previously become unresponsive.
- Program audio volume no longer briefly jumps to a display’s default level (for example, 40) when a display powers on. A display’s volume is now only mirrored to the program audio channels it actually controls.
- Display image mute state now restores correctly after a system restart, where a stored value could previously fail to be read back.
