Features and Enhancements
Directional Room Link and Permissions
Room links can now be constrained by direction and permission. Each secondary-room entry can set an Allowed Role (Primary, Secondary, or Both) to control the role a room may take toward a given partner, and a Can Send Link Request To This Room flag the panel uses as a per-partner hint. Rooms restricted to the secondary role can now ask a partner to become their primary through a new secondary-initiated request. Space CE checks every request against these rules, automatically declining a blocked request, and deterministically resolves two rooms that request each other at the same time. All of the new settings are optional with backward-compatible defaults, so existing room-link configurations are unaffected.
Dedicated Lecturer Output for Pods
A new Lecturer Destination Has Dedicated Output pod setting suits rooms where a single dedicated output feeds the pods with whatever is routed to the lecturer destination. With it enabled, changing which pod is shared to the lecturer is a single upstream route rather than one route per pod, simplifying large pod rooms. It is off by default, so existing pod rooms are unaffected.
Program Audio Control via Matrices and Switchers
A Program Audio channel can now drive volume and mute on a video matrix or switcher, not just a display or DSP. Level and mute changes made outside Space CE (for example on the device’s own web interface, or after a device reboot) are now reflected back on the fader, so the shown level stays accurate.
More Powerful Macro Trigger Conditions
Macro event triggers can now require more than a single match. As well as the existing behaviour (fire on any trigger), a macro can fire only when every trigger is satisfied, or on a custom condition across its triggers using AND, OR, NOT and parentheses. Existing macros are unaffected; the default matches today’s behaviour.
Conditional Routing by Destination Group
Routing conditions can now test which destination group started a share, so a condition can target a group share directly instead of listing every member destination.
DSP-Driven Lighting Toggles
A lighting toggle wired to a DSP device (for example a Q-Sys named control trigger) now works: turning it on or off fires the configured DSP preset recall, with the touch panel updated immediately. Previously such a toggle did nothing.
KNX Blind Control
Space CE can now control KNX blinds through the new Crestron CI-KNX gateway driver. A blind action can carry a driver-specific payload (one or more datapoint writes) rather than a single number, as KNX requires.
Drivers
Driver Updates & Enrichments
QSC Q-Sys Camera (TCP)
Enabled camera auto-framing (speaker tracking) control, which previously sent an empty command and had no effect.
AVer MT300 Camera Switcher (HTTP)
Added support for the AVer MT300 speaker-tracking camera switcher. Room macros can enable or disable automatic camera switching and recall camera tracking profiles on the device, for example changing tracking behaviour when the selected camera changes. Existing configurations that referenced the device keep working.
Masterclock NTD Clock (UDP)
Fixed the clock always showing as not communicating in Innomesh Portal while it was actually connected.
Visionary Decoder (HTTP)
Fixed a decoder continuing to stream, with its display still live, after the room was powered off. Room power off now disconnects the stream and blanks the display in one step.
Lightware Taurus Switcher (TCP, Websocket)
Volume and mute control now works across the different unit sizes, by detecting the audio channel from the device instead of assuming a fixed one.
Lightware UCX Matrix (Websocket)
Added volume and mute control.
CSS ZIR and Thor PDU (HTTP)
Fixed the device’s MAC address and firmware being shown incorrectly in Innomesh Portal. Space CE now polls only outlet control and status; outlet control is unchanged.
Extron NAVigator (SSH)
Now reports the full firmware version in Innomesh Portal instead of a shortened one.
New Driver Additions
- Crestron CI-KNX Lighting Controller (TCP)
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a pod display showing a black screen (staying muted) after a new source was selected following a deselect. The new source is now shown correctly.
- Fixed a pod display ignoring its configured warm-up and cool-down times, so on some displays pressing start straight after a shutdown had to wait out the built-in cooldown before powering back up. The configured timings now apply, and a pod display with a secondary input also returns to its default input.
- Fixed a pod set to follow the lecturer not switching to a new lecturer source in rooms where the pod is fed straight from the AVoIP matrix, leaving it stuck on the previous source while other displays switched.
- Fixed automatic hot plug routing not firing for a source that can be shown without a live signal; a configured hot plug route now arms the automation for any source.
- Fixed routing conditions that test an output switch being skipped for every destination after the first, in rooms with multiple destinations of the same type. Each destination is now evaluated against its own output.
- Fixed charging bays not being reported at room start unless a microphone was already docked in them; an empty bay now reports from the start.
- Fixed charging bay battery levels not appearing on the UI when the dock is configured as a Microphone Station device (previously only Microphone Receiver docks reported battery). Station-mapped bays now report their battery level and health.
- Fixed a linked secondary room re-running its full startup every time the primary room’s panel reconnected. It now ignores a room mode notification for the mode it is already in (except Reset).
